Basic to Intermediate Latent Print Identification and Comparison

When was the last time you attended a latent fingerprint class? We’re speaking about a practical latent fingerprint class on how to quickly and accurately interpret the visual information found in latent finger prints. This four-day course of interactive instruction will cover fingerprint and palm prints identification comparison techniques that can be used as you are conducting your examinations. Useful techniques for fingerprint and palm print searching include methods for orientation, detailed pattern analysis, distinguishing sections of the palm, creating a systematic search and using a crease(s) or scar(s) for searching, delta interpretation, using computer comparison software and so much more.*
The instructors will use lecture, class discussion, and informative practical exercises to apply the techniques discussed. The instructors’ goal is to advance the latent fingerprint and palm print analysis beyond the basic search tips by outlining a more efficient systematic and overall easier approach making the work both faster and more efficient. The student will gain confidence in their examinations as well as testimony after this training. This course is approved by the IAI for certification and re-certification.
